Our Story

Papita was a man of immense honor, known for his hard work and humility. He was deeply cherished by the community. In 1979, he purchased this house for his family, which now serves as a treasured family heirloom to be passed down through generations. The house has withstood numerous challenges, including the Salvadorian Civil War, and located in the historic site of Suchitoto, the first capital of El Salvador.

From the Family:

Lucy R. - Granddaughter: This house means a lot to me; I spent part of my childhood and teenage years here caring for the animals and tending to the many trees and plants. When my grandpa first purchased this house, it was a big achievement for him. He wanted to bring the entire family together and even built individual rooms for each, including a special oven for my grandma. This reflects the kind of man Papita was: Strong, determined, kindhearted person who always prioritized us.

Aminta R. - Daughter: This house holds cherished memories for every member of our family. he purchased it, he had us in mind every step of the way, he truly was an incredible man. No matter the challenge, he always found a solution. He was deeply loved by our entire community and consistently ensured that everyone was taken care of.

Astrid C. - Granddaughter: Coming from the city, seeing the new house at "the ranch" was a pretty big change for me. While I was there, I got to enjoy the fresh air, huge trees full of fruit, and see all kinds of things you just don’t see in the city. As for Papita, He was such a loving and caring guy, and I had much respect for him. Even though our time together was cut short, I can say he was a major father figure for all of us while he was around.

Gio R. - Grandson: My grandfather was a man with immense honor.  My family and I had lots of respect for him and always loved being around him. He was a humble man and didn't like boasting. On the outside he seemed like a very strict person but in reality, he was a sweet guy. When he would arrive home everybody would leave their rooms and go greet him. This house is important to us because it is a part of him that will live on forever and we will continue to value his memory and carry the flame.
